Maike Thamsen

Maike joined the lab in May 2007. She studied biology at the Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz (Germany) and majored in immunology, genetics, microbiology and physiology. For her diploma thesis she did research on tolerogenic dendritic cells at the Department of Dermatology at the university clinic in Mainz. She decided to do her Ph.D. thesis in the Jakob lab and is actually working on the influence of oxidative stress on C.elegans aging.
