I studied biochemistry at the University of Bayreuth and majored in
virology and eukaryotic genetics. For my bachelor thesis I optimized the
expression and purification of the transcription elongation factor NusE of
E.coli at the Department of Biopolymers.

I joined the Jakob lab in April 2009 to start my master research project. I
am currently working on the influence of singlet oxygen on Hsp33.

In my spare time I enjoy playing tennis, running and surfing, meeting up
with friends, travelling and going to concerts.
